Maids is a division of the Union of Real Estate Professionals (UREP); a non-profit organization crated to help unemployed professionals in the housing industry. UREP Maids has different branches; each branch was created to serve exclusively an area of the city and named according to the geographical area it was created for.

One of the goals of UREP Maids is to become an organization that would protect the rights of the personnel working in the cleaning industry; as most of you know, maids are one of the most vulnerable working classes we have in the US; they are constantly been exploited by employers or customers; and most of them don’t speak English fluently nor have the resources to become independent.

In order to help these professionals, UREP Maids forms cleaning companies (branches) and grants ownership to all the maids and landscapers who whish to become independent or want to own a business in association with other maids; we organized them and united them under a single name and license; and we established a uniform set of cleaning standards and a set of rules and regulations for them to follow. We market their services according to the instructions provided by the maids, that way they are in control of their own services and won’t be subject to any type of abuse.
