Sharktech Internet Services was established in 2003 after its founder, Tim Timrawi, noticed a lack in the market for DDoS protection services. In addition to DDoS filtering, we offer businesses a complete package of high-transfer server hosting and managed services at affordable prices. After a decade of business growth and concentrated development, Sharktech now offers services in three geo-diverse data centers.

Our staff members have an average of 9 years of work experience in the hosting industry, including server administration as well as experience in supporting businesses similar to those of our customers. This diverse background gives us the opportunity to not only know our customers' needs but also to understand the worries and concerns they might have. Our motto always has been: "Treat a customer's server as if it were our own."

While most other hosting companies fear having services vulnerable to DDoS attacks on their networks due the possibility of targeted attacks, Sharktech supports and encourages them as it is a service. Restricting services does not resolve the underlying problems, but rather temporarily hides and postpones them. Presently, DDoS attacks are a serious threat that can occur everywhere on the Internet. We are very proud for having developed our proprietary filtering mechanism, which allows us to reduce the cost of expensively branded filtering systems. Our proprietary filtering system gets improved on a daily basis and mitigates DDoS attacks, preventing them from affecting our customers' servers, using numerous methods.

However, DDoS filtering (even using custom-made filtering mechanisms) requires high-end hardware equipment, which increases the operations costs. Sharktech's number one goal is to provide quality service at the lowest possible price to our customers.

While other firms attempt to turn a profit on every service they offer, we never have nor will we ever charge for commodity-based services. Sharktech proudly was the first hosting firm to provide DDoS filtered IPs at a low price. This forced the entire market to become sensible and prevented other hosting firms from charging thousands of dollars for a service that should remain low cost (if not free). In addition, we pioneered the low-cost DDoS mitigation industry. Sharktech also offers a one-time hardware upgrade (Memory / Storage) for an at-cost fee, as we attempt to attract long-term customers and are not trying to make a profit from upgrades.

In order to provide our customers with services that are both high quality and affordable, we have disregarded high profit margins, a fancy website as well as expensive advertising, choosing instead to focus on providing the best prices without having to sacrifice security. Sharktech’s primary method of marketing is by word of mouth, which has spread very quickly through our continuously satisfied customers.
