A native Nashvillian, Bim attended MBA, Washington and Lee University in Virginia, School of Architecture at Tennessee, and the Royal Danish Academy of Art and Architecture in Copenhagen. Graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1975, he spent two years working construction on commercial and residential projects before beginning his apprenticeship in an architect’s office. He feels that this construction experience has proven invaluable to his understanding of how buildings are built and how they should be designed.
After completing his required apprenticeship and becoming a licensed architect, Bim started BRYANT GLASGOW ARCHITECTURE on April 1, 1980. Since that time, many clients have returned with new and different projects. His greatest enjoyment comes from transforming dreams and concepts into sensible and sustainable construction detail.
Bim continues to enjoy doing miscellaneous carpentry projects with the tools he has been collecting all his life, often working with his wife Candace on their historic 1928 English Tudor Revival home. He loves hiking on the Appalachian Trail, travel, photography, and visiting with family and friends at Beersheba Springs and Center Hill Lake. Bim has a strong love for all animals, domestic and wild.
