FAST Electrical Contractors, better known in the industry as “FAST”, is primarily a “Commercial and Industrial“, General Electrical Contracting Company. Established in “1973”, the company is licensed and bonded with expertise in “New Construction, Renovations, Maintenance and Acceptance Testing”. Fast Electrical Contractors became well known, serving clients in Middle Tennessee and surrounding areas on the principles of “Quality, Knowledge and Reliability”.

FAST earned its solid reputation and longevity, through services rendered to a list of notable clients, such as: AT & T, Vanderbilt University & Medical Center, and General Mills / Pillsbury. (see the client page for an extended list of companies served)

FAST continues to provide professional expertise in the commercial and industrial electrical industry. Business for ongoing projects, as well as newly acquired clients are secured through bid work, time and materials, negotiated terms, guaranteed not-to-exceed, and most importantly on “a referral basis”.

FAST understands the complexities of the job environment and the work place. As a company we are “safety minded”, our employee’s receive ongoing training and are trained to OSHA standards. Our estimation staff has over “60 years” of combined experience from hands-on to project management. FAST also has hundreds of years of combined knowledge and experience in the electrical industry, employing a well trained staff of Journeyman Electricians and certified apprentices. With these many years of application experience in General Electrical Services, our expertise includes but is not limited to: manufacturing, fiber optics, medium & low voltage, telecommunication, voltage and amperage recording on all switchgear and distribution equipment, all areas of power wiring, commercial building wiring, installation of EMS, fire alarm installation, and emergency generator installation.

At FAST, it is the pride we take in our people, along with the expert workmanship put forth on every project that has elevated our company to the level of recognition and success that we have experienced through the years. FAST Electrical Contractors, Inc. is currently in its third generation of ownership which demonstrates the companies’ longevity. FAST was incorporated in May of “1973” by four founding partners, their initials provided for the company name “FAST”. George Frank Scalf the original founder remained a minority shareholder until June of 1997, when his stock was retired by the Company. George Randall Scalf (Randy), is the son of the original founder who had held a minority interest in the company for twenty years, acquired controlling interest in August of 1995, and went on to become the sole shareholder in June of 1997. Randy is a licensed Master Electrician who continues to guide and direct FAST today as the company president, with his many years of industry experience and his day -to- day “hands on” leadership, he has set a company standard for satisfying our clients by providing quality and dependable service through our experienced and well trained technicians.
