Anderson Design Studio was founded by Kathy Anderson, IIDA. The design studio is located in the historic 2nd Avenue area of downtown Nashville, Tennessee, overlooking an inspirational view of the river and Titan’s stadium. The firm enjoys a wide variety of project types, including hospitality, educational, institutional, retail, corporate, residential, and restaurants. Each client is approached with a special sensitivity to their unique project needs.
Creating Environments, not just decorating spaces, is the goal of the design team. Anderson Design Studio can provide complete interior design services or coordinate with the project team of architect, contractor, and specialty consultants. The project begins with understanding the client’s specific goals, budget, time frame, and personality. Kathy and her team then combine their energy to create an ideal floor plan which they bring to life with lighting design, millwork design, and architectural details, while combining craftsmanship and technology.
Developing Special Finishes for the floors, walls, and ceilings is carefully coordinated with the cabinet finishes, fireplace details, and any special features of the environment. Artisans are utilized to craft special paint techniques, custom millwork, and any other unique details within a project. Whether contemporary, classic, or edgy, each style reflects the attitude of the client and what they want for their project. Anderson Design Studio’s resource library provides thousands of sources and options for the designers to draw inspiration from and use in their decision-making.
Furnishings and Artwork are uniquely collected to complete each environment. The furnishings are typically custom manufactured for each project to reflect its style. Fabrics and finishes are carefully selected to complement the interior finishes within the space. Custom rugs and furnishings created for each project add a special touch that lets every client know the space was designed uniquely for their needs. The collection of artwork is the last detail that reflects the personality of the people who will inhabit the space.
