A. G. Yule and Sons is a growing, family owned custom wood working studio, started in 1988 by Larry and Shannon Yule, inspired by Larry’s grandfather Addison George Yule.

It was in his grandfathers basement wood shop that Larry began his love of creating objects out of wood. Larry’s father Larry Sr., is an avid amateur woodworker who carried on a tradition of family woodworking, He still provides assistance with the many challenges of operating A. G. Yule & Sons.

Larry has been building custom furniture for more than twenty five years. His interest in craftsman style architecture provides some of the inspiration to create unique and functional furnishings that are in harmony with their owners and environments.

We see building furniture as problem solving. Our clients present us with a problem, we develop an understanding of the clients needs and construct a unique piece of furniture that provides a solution and enriches their surroundings.

Each project is created with the utmost care and attention to detail, wood is selected specifically for each piece, then parts are cut , milled and shaped to show the natural characteristics to their best advantage. The piece is then assembled and finished.

Somewhere in the process, a sense of satisfaction is attained, we pass this along to the owner of each new piece of furniture that is crafted in our studio.
